Q: Should I stretch before class, or lie still in Savasana?
I’ve seen people doing both, and wonder which is better?!
Either – or both! You can use the time before class to quiet down, meditate and relax in Savasana, or if, you like, to stretch. Although stretching isn’t required (it’s kind of like cleaning your condo before the cleaning lady comes), doing a couple of sets of the postures you want to improve in won’t hurt. Our best advice: do whatever feels best to you (and that may change from day to day) – whatever makes you feel more settled, relaxed and grounded before class.
