WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE AT HOT YOGA 101
The safety of our community has always been our top priority, and we’re even more focused on it now. To ensure your safety, we’ve made changes to how we operate—all designed to keep you and our staff safe. This is just the start and we will be constantly fine-tuning and updating our safety measures. We have always been dedicated to the cleanliness of our studio, and the health and safety of our community. Now we’re taking it to a higher level. Here are all the changes you can expect:
OUR ENHANCED CLEANING PROCESS
TOP-GRADE DISINFECTANT & MORE FREQUENT CLEANING
Staff will use a commercial grade disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after every class – with an extra attention to the yoga room, and all high-touch surfaces after every class.
DISINFECTING HIGH-TOUCH SURFACES REGULARLY
After every class, we will disinfect handles, light switches, door handles, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, benches, the front desk, keyboards, computers and any equipment at the studio.
BRING YOUR OWN MAT AND TOWEL
To limit the sharing of equipment and supplies, we will stop all mat and towel rentals. We will have both available for sale at the studio.
STAFF AND GLOVES
Staff will wear gloves while cleaning at all times.
STAFF SAFETY
The studio staff is here to help you from a safe distance, but will stay behind the front desk area as much as possible during the check-in process. Please respect the physical distancing requirements, as will our staff.
CHECKING IN
PRE-BOOKING OF CLASS (BOOK ONLINE)
All members will be required to pre-book their class in advance on the ‘Hot Yoga 101’ APP or directly on our website here. You will be able to pre-book for classes up to 1 week in advance. At this time, walk-ins will not be permitted.
SMALLER CLASS SIZE
To ensure your safety, we have reduced the number of people permitted per class, and have marked off the yoga room with specific markers to identify the spots that are available, which will be at least 6 feet / 2 metres apart.
GUIDED FLOOR PLAN & PHYSICAL DISTANCING PRACTICES
Our staff will work with you to get you in and out of the studio safely, while maintaining physical distancing practices. That means a more structured and methodical process, so please be patient. To help, floor markers will indicate a safe distance in the lobby and locker rooms. We ask that you avoid waiting for class in these high traffic areas.
NO LOCKERS
Please bring only the essential items you need for class. Bring a small bag to store small items like keys and phone.
COME PREPARED FOR CLASS
Have a mat and 3 towels, and a pre-filled water bottle for class.
LIMITED USE OF WASHROOMS
Please change at home and only use the washroom if absolutely necessary.
YOUR PRE-ASSIGNED YOGA SPOT
Please go directly to your pre-assigned spot in the yoga room as provided by our staff. Avoid leaving your spot once you’ve set up. To ensure maximum spacing between members, there will be NO SWITCHING of spots.
FILTERED WATER – EMERGENCY USE ONLY
We strongly encourage you to bring your own pre-filled water bottle for class or purchase from the studio.
AFTER YOUR CLASS
SHOWER ACCESS
Showers will be unavailable until further notice. Please bring an extra towel to dry off after class.
DRY UP YOUR SPOT
Bring an extra towel, and wipe down your spot after class. Our staff will go in after with our commercial grade disinfectant, but please do not leave a puddle or lake behind.
EXITING THE STUDIO
Please be patient. The instructor will lead an orderly and staggered exit from the yoga room. Please exit the studio in a timely manner. As much as we love to have you stay and catch up, we will just have to wait for that. That time will come! We will just have to be patient for now.
MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
These new safety processes will be most effective if we all do our part. We are in this together, and our collective actions will help keep us safe.
- If you feel sick or have any symptoms (fever, runny nose, cough, watering eyes), please stay home. If you exhibit symptoms in the studio, for the safety of all, you will respectfully be asked to leave.
- Please make sure to practice physical distancing when in close, shared spaces like locker rooms and be patient. Follow the markers placed around the studio to maintain a safe distance.
- After class, everyone must vacate the yoga room once the lights are turned on.
- Please do not linger around the studio after class. Vacate the premises promptly and ensure physical distancing.
- We’re encouraging all members and staff to limit person-to-person contact, including hugs & high fives. Community and love is what we are all about, but for the time being, let’s take care of each other. Stick to air hugs!
This might be a bit overwhelming at first, but we will adapt! And once you’re back in that hot room and feeling great, you’ll find yourself in that familiar place you know and love. We can’t wait to see you back!
