Trust us – we know exactly what it’s like to be new to Bikram Yoga! It can be exciting and a bit intimidating to try something new. To help ease your introduction, we put a list together of tips to know before your first Bikram Yoga class! Get the inside scoop here:

 1. Drink at least one liter of water an hour before class. Being fully hydrated is the most important part of your Bikram Yoga practice. If you aren’t properly hydrated symptoms will include headaches, muscle cramping, fatigue, and/or dizziness/nausea.

2. Avoid eating anything at least two hours before class. If you really must eat, try something light like a piece of fruit.

3. Bring a yoga mat, two towels (one for your mat and one for rinsing of after class), your water bottle, and a positive open attitude. We rent mats and towels for $2.25 each and sell a stainless steel re-usable water bottle available for $15 (including tax) if needed.

4. Arrive at least 10-15 minutes before class begins. Make coming to class on time part of your practice.
