Medical research shows that practicing yoga can play a positive role in supporting recovery from cancer. However, little research is available on yoga’s role in primary prevention of cancer (reversing the cancer processes before a tumor is ever discovered through standard medical diagnostics). Therefore, this article’s purpose is to bring light to the possibilities of primary prevention of cancer through Bikram (or heated) yoga. This author’s hope is that someday diagnostic tools will be available to measure the efficacy of cancer prevention methods on the initial cancerous processes.
